Arun K. Arora

Arun K. Arora

Mr. Arun Arora joined SightLife board in 2014. He is a graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi and did his master’s from Delhi School of Social Work. He has been associated with Eicher group for more than 30 years, largely as a Human Resources Professional as well as General Manager of Garment Export Business.  

Mr. Arora joined Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital (SCEH) in 2004 as Chief Executive Officer, presently representing SCEH as Member - Board of Trustees. During his tenure he has transformed this 100-year-old hospital into a tertiary eye care institute rated as the second best in north India and seventh best in India (Week Magazine, November 2013 edition).  

Arun has been involved in social issues since college. He did voluntary work and won the best Social Worker Medal at his college. He is presently the Chairperson of Prerana, a nonprofit organization working on issues of gender equality, education for girls, and women’s livelihood. 

Aparajit Bhattacharya

Aparajit Bhattacharya

Mr. Aparajit Bhattacharya joined the SightLife board in 2014. He received his law degree at Symbiosis Law School and is a member of the Bar Council of India, High Court Bar Association and Inter-Pacific Bar Association. His focus areas of practice are Corporate Commercial, Mergers & Acquisition and Private Equity.  

Spanning legal experience of two decades, he has led diverse assignments and transactions in corporate commercial and has advised clients on many cross-border transactions that relate to foreign investment in India, their entry strategies, merger & acquisition, equity investments, joint ventures, management buyouts and corporate restructuring. 

He worked across varied segments of commerce and industry in services, trading and manufacturing sectors. Aparajit previously worked at HSA Advocates, Trilegal and Hindustan Unilever Limited. He is a pioneer in Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). He extended his legal counsel to one of the first CDM projects in India and has advised some of the largest CDM transitions in the world. 

Aparajit has consistently been ranked as a Leading Lawyer in Corporate Commercial and M&A by Chambers Asia-Pacific, Chambers Global, as well as Legal 500. He was ranked as one of the five Indian lawyers who have made it to the list of 'Top 15 Asia's hardest-working M&A Partners’ based on Merger Market’s research in 2017. In 2019, Aparajit was named the recipient of the Award for Exemplary Contribution to Corporate Law awarded by Legal League Consulting at the India Ahead: Leading the New Age Economic Laws Summit & Achiever’s Awards held in New Delhi, India in 2019. 

Atul Kapoor

Atul Kapoor

Mr. Kapoor is a collaborative, mission driven professional with more than 25 years of progressive experience in driving new initiatives, partnerships and engagement in India and abroad (Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, and Taiwan) within corporate as well as the social sector.  

He is a seasoned leader with extensive exposure across cross functional areas of key stakeholder management, strategy & leadership, influencing and advocacy, business development and setting up business units and functions and successfully scaling them into sustainable and profitable businesses. He has demonstrated excellence in managing diverse set of internal as well as external stakeholders, ensuring buy-in for strategies and effective implementation.  

He holds a Bachelors in Pharmacy Science (BITS, Pilani) and a Master’s Degree in Business Management (IRMA, Anand) and is a certified trainer in Stephen Covey’s programs.
